policies Ballet Classes NJ, NJ Dance Studio, Modern Dance, Jazz Hip Hop, Lyrical, Pointe Classes | Dance for Joy NJ, Brielle New Jersey

The latest information:

Tuition:
Tuition may be paid in full, or in four quarterly payments. A $50 deposit for each class you register your child in is due upon registering, along with your $25 registration fee. Tuition is based on a nine month dance season with vacation days taken into account.  Tuition varies depending on the number of hours each student takes per week.  Tuition payments are due before the tenth of the month in September, November, January and March.  Please contact DFJ for more information on tuition prices.

Missed Classes:
When a student misses a scheduled class, they are welcome to make-up the class by taking another one during the week. These make-ups should be made within the month of the missed class, and may not be saved up for the end of the year. No make-ups are allowed during the last week of classes. A call to the studio would be appreciated when missing or planning a make-up class.

Uniforms:
Your child’s neatness positively influences their class performance; therefore students are to come to class with their hair neatly pulled back off their face in either a ponytail or a bun. Specific class uniforms are required for each type of dance and are listed on the bulletin board in the lobby. Your dance shoes should be purchased at either the studio or an official dance store or supplier.

Pre-Pointe & Pointe:
Students who are in Ballet 5 or above and taking at least three hours of ballet per week, for over one year, may be eligible to be put on Pointe. This is a very important step for a ballet student but is not for everyone. Experience, talent, strength, age, and size are all important considerations when deciding to put a classical ballet student on Pointe. Multiple ballet classes are a must for students who wish to one day be on pointe.

Observation:
Each classroom has an observation window always available for parents to view their child’s progress. Baby Ballet and Pre-Ballet classes are open to parents for in-class viewing during the last week of the dance school year.

Show Awards:
Any student participating in our Annual Spring Show will be awarded a souvenir trophy!
